Dr. Erman Türkili (Barocviolin)
Dr. Erman Turkili was born in 1984 in Adana, Turkey. At the age of 11, he started his violin lessons with Dania Kainova and chamber music lessons with Slava Kainov at the Conservatory of Cukurova University. He experienced being a soloist with orchestras at an early age of his career.
After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Turkey, he was awarded a Graduate Assistantship toward his studies at Pittsburg State University. During his first years of United States. He gave many concerts as a recitalist and also performed with orchestras both as a soloist and an orchestral member. He won 4 competitions in two years and was selected as one of the 52 canditates at the ASTA (American String Teachers Association).
Upon finishing his Master’s degree, he was invited as a Doctoral Assistant to Prof. Eliot Chapo studio, former concertmaster of New York Philharmonic, Dallas Symphony etc. He taught and formed three teaching studios in Florida for younger music students and created his own method of teaching. He finished his doctoral program in 3.5 years and became doctor of music in 2011.
He has performed both in Turkey, Europe and U.S. as a soloist, rec italist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. He has taught students from early ages both in US and Turkey. His teaching method starts teaching violin to kids that are in the ages of 3 and 7.
Besides his academic and musical activities, he has also formed ensembles with his partners Sandra Sinsch and Yusuf Yalçın.
Alla Turca Kollektif : A unique ensemble consists of 10 musicians and performs the compositions of Eastern and Western Baroque repertoire and discovers compositions that have never been played before in the world.
ClaViolin : A unique duo of harpsichord that focuses on the western baroque compositions for violin and harpsichord.
