Sandra Sinsch (Barockoboe)
Sandra was born in Saarbrücken/Germany and became an extraordinary student at the Musikhochschule Mannheim at the age of 14. She studied with the legendary German oboist Winfried Liebermann as his youngest student ever. 19 years old, she entered the Rhenanian State Philharmonic Orchestra and worked later as principal in the New Westfalian Symphony Orchestra. She is laureate of the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe and the Early Music Competiton of National German Radio. Sandra was also supported by Germanys High Talented Foundation.
After some years in professional symphony orchestra, Sandra turned to Early Music. She studied period oboes with Carole Wiesmann at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis /Switzerland and went on with Ann- Kathrin Brüggemann in the Conservatoire Strasbourg/ France and the Institute for Early Music of the Musikhochschule Trossingen/Germany (Diploma thesis: The Ottoman impact on European art music in the 17. and 18. century). An extended career as chamber and orchestra musician throughout Europe with leading ensembles in the field of period performance practice followed. Performances as chamber musician include important international festivals as Schleswig Holstein Musikfestival, Tage Alter Musik Innsbruck, International Handel Festival Halle and Festival de Saintes. Sandra has joined in several radio-and CD-productions for the labels Sony BMG, Berlin Classics and others. 2009-2012 she was working together with Pera Ensemble , the ensemble was awarded in 2012 with the prestigious Echo Classic for the CD „Baroque oriental“. Sandra is also member of the German baroque chamber ensemble La Tirata.
Since 2011, Sandra is living in Istanbul, teaches Early Music in Istanbul Technical Universities Turkish State Music Conservatory and is also in demand as author and music journalist.
